Allen Lincoln, LMT (License #MA78284)
Allen is a holistic pastoral massage therapist.
Allen, why are you a therapist?
"I love caring for and helping people, body mind, soul and spirit! When someone walks away from my table feeling like they left the universe and everything has changed, I feel fulfilled."
What is Your Approach?
"I listen to the person and the body to tell me what techniques to use. I bring together my trainings in massage therapy, human anatomy and pastoral counseling, my intuitive touch, and my study in human energy." I merge the knowledge and disciplines as fitting to each client.
How Long in the Massage Field?
"I was licensed in 2014. However, I was giving back-rubs starting at 8 years old! I grew up in a massaging family and made it a hobby my whole life. In college, my friends were lined up out the door!
What did you do previously?
"I served professionally as an ordained chaplain. I worked with hospice patients, college students, and the community at large. I was also an elder-caregiver for my parents. And then I went to massage school!"
What makes your Massage Special?
"My intuitive touch! Also, I'm pretty strong with deep tissue, and very specific in working out pain spots. Understanding body biology and structure is important. Nothing goes missed. Surprisingly, many of my pastoral techniques help. Often clients report a new outlook on life, even when few words are spoken.
Training and Certification?
"I graduated from Bonita School of Massage (Bonita Schools, Inc) in 2013. I am licensed by the State of Florida, and internationally by ITEC. My pastoral counseling/MDiv is from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry.
My training, certification and experience includes: therapeutic light-touch, deep tissue, reflexology, prenatal, myofascial, geriatric, medical and lymphatic drainage massages ."
Personal Interests and Hobbies?
My happy spot is a toss-up between body-surfing large ocean waves and sitting on a misty mountain with a fishing line in the creek. My sons know I'll stay til wee hours of the morn if they start talking philosophy. My dog takes me on long walks, and my cat's favorite sleeping spot is my belly.
